Holywell Town supporters urged to get behind title-chasing reserves in final three games

Holywell Town’s first team have had a fantastic campaign – but the season is not over for the club just yet.

That’s the message from Karl Bacon, manager of Holywell Town Reserves, who are going for the FAW Cymru Reserve North West title with some gusto.

Bacon has urged Holywell Town’s amazing supporters to get behind his team in their remaining games.

Although the first team’s season ended on Saturday with a 3-1 win at Penrhyncoch, which clinched them fourth place in the Tier 2 Cymru North – their highest league finish in 23 years – the reserves still have three games left in their title chase.

Holywell’s second string have been top of their league all season with only one loss in 19 games and are undefeated at home.

After the reserves’ 4-0 win against Porthmadog on Saturday, Bacon said: “I urge all Holywell football fans to come and support us in our final three games. The support that the first team have received this season has been phenomenal.

“I’m now asking you all to please show the reserves the same level of support to help us get over the line as we push to bring silverware to the club.”
