Hawarden Rangers have been crowned champions of the North East Wales Football League Vets Championship Division with a 100 percent record!
Rangers sealed the title today with a 5-1 win at second-place Mynydd Isa Spartans Vets.
Hawarden have won all nine of their league games in 2021-22, netting 45 goals and conceding just six.
They still have three matches to play, but cannot be caught on 27 points.
Today’s match at Mynydd Isa saw Matty Phillips, Nick Jones, Alan Dawson, Nick Henderson and Peter George share the goals for the visitors.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix Vets defeated FC Queen’s Park Vets 4-0 on Sunday.
Steve Roberts netted a hat-trick, with one added by Jacob Griffiths.
It was described as a good game played in a fine spirit among two sets of honest lads.
Mention to Richard Roberts for a bit of genius to play Steve Roberts in to break the deadlock. After it became 1-0, there only looked to be one team likely to take the three points.
