RHYL AND DISTRICT SUNDAY LEAGUE – PREVIEW

ROYAL OAK v FC MALLY
Sunday, March 27, 11 am

Just the one game being played on Sunday – and it’s a real six-pointer in the battle for the league title.

Mally made a big statement in the race to finish champions last weekend with a 5-1 away thrashing of leaders Conwy Comrades.

Meanwhile, second-place Royal Oak suffered a shock 5-4 home loss to Rhyl Wanderers.

There are now just three points separating the top five.

Comrades still head the standings with 22 points from 12 matches, then it is Royal Oak 11-21, Millbank 13-20, FC Mally 10-19, Y Clwb 10-19.

So the Oak will be desperate to bounce back tomorrow, while the Mally are sure to be targeting more of the same.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS IN 2021-22

Mally took on Royal Oak in the NWCFA Sunday Challenge Cup semi-final just two weeks ago and the Junction lads triumphed 4-0.

In the reverse league fixture back in December, Mally beat the Oak 3-2, so this season stands 2-0 to Andy Colville’s men.

However, on top form Mark Dudley’s Oak side are a real force.
