Ellie Sian Jones’ talents as a footballer first came to our attention when she scored a hat-trick for Bethel against CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in a friendly back in June 2021.
She went on to feature for Bethel in this first season of the Genero Adran North tier 2 league, but has now made the switch to Amlwch Town of the North Wales Women’s League.
With a bubbly infectious personality, Ellie, who will be 18 next week, carries her enthusiasm for life 100% into her football.

About 5’4
The first team I ever played for was Llangefni Girls. I played for them at under-12’s and 14’s. I then went to Bethel for under-16’s and the first couple of seasons of the seniors. And now Amlwch Town.
Coming from a small village school I went to one training session to more make friends ready for high school, but haven’t stopped playing ever since.
I’ve been playing since I was about 9 or 10 so around 8 years now.
I started as a defender, but I’ve been a winger since my last year of under-14’s.
I go to the gym when I can, but in the summer especially I love being by the sea, kayaking or paddle boarding.
I did a season training with the North Wales coast under-14’s team.
I feel my strength is my determination to give it my all during every game. A weakness I feel would have to be I can be very critical of my own performance.

All of them! My first coach Ffion Owen in Llangefni taught me football, as I went there knowing nothing! Llio Emyr was then the coach for Bethel under-16’s and was very influential throughout. I definitely learnt a lot in under-16’s. And then Ben and Aaron, the Bethel ladies coaches. I definitely made a lot of development in football during this time. So for different reasons they’ve all been very influential.
The one I remember the most was in under-16’s with Bethel playing against Penrhyn Bay. We were losing at half time, but I then scored a few in the second half to secure the win.
Probably my first match with Bethel seniors in tier 2
I’m very much looking forward to it. It’s a great team full of great girls. So looking forward to working with them for the rest of this season.
To continue to develop as a player, gain more experience and just see where my football takes me.
It would have to be Bethel’s kits, as all the other kits I’ve worn were bright yellow, and I’m not the biggest fan of yellow😂
I don’t really have a specific taste, it depends on the day to be honest.
Not really a fan of soaps, I prefer documentaries.
One of my favourite places is Scotland, so we’re going in April for a week.
