Llandudno have added a versatile talent to their Genero Adran North title-chasing squad.
Manager Sarah Colville announced today that the experienced Hannah Smith has landed at Maesdu Park.
Hannah, 28, was known by her maiden name McGoona before marrying Alex Smith in August 2019.
She can operate in defence and midfield, on the left or right.
Hannah hails from well-known footballing stock as her uncle is former Connah’s Quay, Caernarfon Town, Bangor City, Conwy United and Altrincham midfield dynamo Danny McGoona and her elder brother is Scott McGoona, whose clubs include Penmaenmawr Phoenix and Sunday stars FC Mally of Llandudno Junction.
In the past, Hannah has played for Tranmere Rovers Under-16’s, Llandudno Junction, Llandudno, Bangor City, Bethesda Athletic and Penrhyn Bay.
She was part of the Bethesda squad which won the North Wales League Division Two title at the first attempt in 2018-19.
Pesda recorded 10 straight victories to seal the championship and Hannah notched seven goals that season, including four in a 12-1 hammering of Mountain Rangers.
Renowned for having a great touch and passing ability, she is also never afraid to shoot for goal.
Llandudno are currently second in the Genero Adran North and could go top of the tier 2 league if they won their game in hand on leaders Wrexham.
