Welshpool Town 1 (Clewlow 45)
Chirk AAA 2 (Clamp 26, Williams 36)

It was a tight affair on Friday night at Maesydre where Chirk picked up the win to remain top of Ardal North East.

Two first half goals from Lewis Clamp and Tom Williams were enough to secure the points.
James Clewlow pulled one back for Pool just before half time.

It made for an entertaining and competitive second half with both teams having their chances but there were no further goals and the Colliers remain top just ahead of Llanfair, who had a good win at Caersws.

Corwen 1 (Parkinson 14)
Carno 2 (Biggs 34, Pugh 39)

Report: Gavin Billington

Corwen’s first home game of 2022 saw them unable to repeat their 4-2 win at Carno back in August.

Early on, Ben Heath’s side were awarded a free kick near the corner flag, which Kian Harrison floated into the danger area and smacked the crossbar.

With 14 minutes gone, Harrison’s corner was headed home in bullet fashion by Charlie Parkinson, who capped his senior home debut with a first goal in senior football.

Carno levelled on 34 minutes. Adam Biggs took a free kick, which he may not have hit as well as would have liked, and this could have fooled keeper Nathan Roberts as the ball went around the wall and into the back of the net.

Six minutes before the interval Carno hit Corwen on the counter-attack, which came to fruition when Ryan Pugh fired an on-target shot which Roberts got something on, but could not prevent going in.

Roberts pulled off a great save at full stretch to keep the deficit at one come half time.

The nearest Corwen came to an equaliser in the second half saw Harrison’s angled shot run across the box and hit the far post.

This was Corwen’s fourth league defeat on the bounce.

Caersws 1 (Coney 31)
Llanfair United 3 (McLaughlin 37, Astley 56, Mwamuka 90+1)

An excellent away win for Llanfair stretched their unbeaten run to eight matches and keeps them second in the table.

Glynn Coney gave Caersws the lead, but Max McLaughlin equalised before half time.

Josh Astley’s 30th league goal of the season (and 42nd for the club in all competitions) made it 2-1 on 56 minutes and Nyasha Mwamuka added a third in injury time.

Cefn Albion 4 (Kendrick, Watkin, A Williams 2)
Dolgellau 0

Third-place Albion remain well in the title hunt after a comfortable home success against Dolgellau.

Leighton Kendrick, Andrew Watkin and an Alex Williams brace capped a good afternoon for the Cefners.

Kerry 1 (McWatt pen)
Penycae 1 (Davies)

All-square in this battle of bottom five teams.

Zac Davies put Penycae ahead in the 56th minute, but Daryl McWatt made it one apiece from the penalty spot on 73.

Penycae manager Dan Richards was shown a red card in the 90th minute.

Rhos Aelwyd 1 (Rumsey)
Bow Street 2 (Ap Dafydd, Doherty)

Despite leading at half time through a James Rumsey goal, Rhos Aelwyd’s recent good run came to an end at Clarke Street.

Iolo ap Dafydd equalised on 55 minutes and Liam Doherty bagged the decider after 81.

Four Crosses 1 (Simms)
Machynlleth 5 (Page 3, Browne 2)

Callum Page scored a hat-trick and Dillon Browne a double as Machynlleth stormed to victory at Foxen Manor.

Ben Simms had brought Crosses level early in the first half, but that was as good as it got for the hosts.

In a stormy ending, Mach had Calum Humphreys and Dan Roberts sent off, while Joseph Clarke also saw red for the home team.

Penparcau 2 (M Davies, B Davies)
Berriew 0

Matthew Davies and Ben Davies netted on eight and 31 minutes respectively as Penparcau saw off the challenge of Berriew at Min-y-Ddol.
