Oak hammer Millbank, seven for Bow against the Wanderers and Six Bells live up to their name

Bar Bow’s miserable start to 2022 came to a halt as they rattled up a 7-1 win over the Wanderers.

Bow were on the attack from the start, Dean Davies and Loui O’Carroll putting them two-up inside the first 20 minutes.

No further goals before half time, and Bow knew they needed to step up a gear with Wanderers possessing quality up front.

Sure enough, ex-Bar Bow player Harrison Bellis halved the arrears soon after the restart.

Bow raised their game and a double from Joel Rowlands put them in command.

Jamie Ryan, Anth Davies and Cale Kemp added single goals before the end to wrap up what was in the end a convincing victory.

Millbank 2 (Adam Randle, Paul Ham)
Royal Oak 6 (Andy Lee 3, Ryan Potts 2, Paul Campion)

It was a bad day for Millbank as they spectacularly lost their unbeaten home record at the hands of a rampant Oak.

Andy Lee notched a hat-trick for Mark Dudley’s side, Ryan Potts adding a double and Paul Campion completed the rout.

Adam Randle and Paul Ham replied for the outgunned hosts.

Six Bells 6 (Macca Lewis 3, Aidan Bell, Ellis Blench, Jack Edwards)

With the wind in their favour in the first half, Six Bells made the most of it by piling up a six-goal lead.

Macca Lewis pocketed a hat-trick to take him up to 19 goals for the season, also re-establishing himself as the leading scorer for the league.

Aidan Bell, Ellis Blench and Jack Edwards added one apiece for the visitors before the turnaround.

The Alex hit back after the break through Jay Collins, Dave Maddock and Luke Nicholas, but Bells had pulled too far ahead in the first half to affect the result.
