FC Mally have made two top-class signings to help their end-of-season push for honours.

The Rhyl and District Sunday Football League champions have drafted in a pair of quality additions from the Llandudno area in Bry Roberts and Allan Davies.

Manager of the Junction-based side, Andy Colville, said more new faces are on the way.

Davies is an ex-Mally player who has spent the last couple of years playing Sunday football for hometown team The Alex, but has now decided it is time to return to Maes Derw.

He is a tough-tackling, goalscoring midfielder who has also been part of the Llandudno Albion success story in Saturday football over the past few seasons.

Colville said: “Al has an eye for goal and will add steel to an already impressive midfield.”

Roberts is well known in North Wales Saturday football for his considerable talents, having worn the colours of Conwy Borough, Llandudno FC, Llandudno Albion and Llandudno Junction.

A ball-playing midfielder, he is now adding Sunday soccer to his CV.

Manager Colville added: “Bry is a brilliant playmaker and set-piece specialist who will add more flair and goals to our forward-line.”

Mally have won the RDSL quadruple three times but are this season a little off the pace in fifth spot in the league.

Still in three cups, the Lee Jones, NWCFA Sunday Challenge and Premier Cups, they need to put together a run of wins in the league to maximise their chances of finishing champions again.
