North Wales women’s football’s goal-den stars of 2021-22 to date….

So much awesome striking talent has come to the fore in North Wales women’s football this season.
Here are the net-busting queens who are pure goal machines…..
Rosie Hughes (Wrexham) 26 GOALS
(league 16; cups 10)

No surprise at all to see this proven goalscorer top of the North Wales chart.
With 26 goals in 13 matches, this former Llandudno striker has been on fire from day one for her latest club Wrexham, netting a hat-trick on her debut against Pwllheli.
Ella Jones (Llandudno) 22 GOALS
(league 6; cups 16)

In just 11 appearances this 17-year-old sensation has notched 22 goals.
Her best performance was a four-goal show in a 6-1 win over Bethel.
Ella’s previous claim to fame was bagging a hat-trick in Penrhyn Bay’s 2018-19 Under-16 Welsh Cup final victory.
Ffion Wyn Williams (Bethel) 17 GOALS
(league 12; cups 5)

This razor-sharp attacker has two five-goal hauls in her collection this season.
Ffion was a goalkeeper in Caernarfon’s Under-16 Welsh Cup winning side of 2013-14, but scoring goals has been her business since joining Bethel – and what a prolific net-finder she is.
Kirstie Kural (Connah’s Quay Nomads) 15 GOALS
(league 13; cups 2)

What an asset this midfield general has been since joining the new-look Nomads for the 2021-22 season.
Her natural scoring ability from set-pieces and open play has resulted in 15 goals for the Genero Adran North high-flyers.
Maddie Williams (Llandudno) 15 GOALS
(league 12; cups 3)

A double hat-trick in her last outing for Llandudno pushed Maddie up to 15 goals for the campaign.
It has been a tremendous return to 11-a-side for this former Wales youngster who is also well-known for reviving women’s football in Llanfairfechan.
Tegan Hewitt (Airbus) 14 GOALS
(league 8; cups 6)

With four hat-tricks to her name, this ever-improving 21-year-old has been a true standout player for her team.
Francesca Scott (Connah’s Quay Nomads) 13 GOALS
(league 10; cups 3)

Since signing for Nomads from The New Saints in October this speedy front-runner has been in magnificent form.
Her 13 goals to date for the reds includes a double hat-trick against Llanfair United.
Fflur Williams (Bethel) 13 GOALS
(league 7; cups 6)

Teams facing Bethel have not just one, but two F Williams’ to worry about.
As well as 15-goal Ffion, the Caernarfon area side also have Fflur in their ranks.
A natural net-finder, just like her record-breaking dad Euryn, Fflur has recorded two five-goal salvos to date.
Emily Jones (NFA) 13 GOALS
(league 11; cups 2)

With all the players above (or equal to) her in this list operating in the tier 2 Genero Adran North, Emily has scored more goals than anyone else in the North Wales Women’s League across all competitions.
A former Rhyl FC striker in the Welsh Premier, Emily has notched three hat-tricks for NFA so far this term.
Mari Gibbard (Bethel) 12 GOALS
(league 9; cups 3)

Another player who guarantees goals, Mari has chalked up a dozen this season for Bethel.
It is not just her net-finding, but her overall contribution in attack which makes her such an accomplished performer.
Candice Nellist (CPD Y Rhyl 1879) 12 GOALS
(league 12)

Former Tranmere Rovers player who joined Rhyl 1879 this season after a successful spell with Connah’s Quay in 2019-20.
Is top-scorer for the North Wales League with 12 goals to date, having pocketed three hat-tricks in succession in games versus, Llangefni Town, Holywell and Trearddur Bay.
