Lynda Carter is America’s most famous Wonder Woman, but Swansea City have a USA phenomenon of their own in Karmyn Carter.

The 24-year-old from Detroit, who joined the Swans recently from Bridgwater United, scored a first half hat-trick at Brymbo Sports and Social today.

In fact, the Adran Premier leaders, unbeaten all season in 14 league games, netted all six in the opening 45, Wales internationals Chloe Chivers, Laura Davies and Ellie Lake also on target.

Tier 2 Adran North hosts Wrexham were much improved in the second half, holding their illustrious visitors to 0-0.

After the match, Wrexham manager Steve Dale said on social media: “Was always going to be a tough game today against a very good @SwansLadies team. Proud of the players second half performance showing real desire to shut out the opposition! We’ve come a long way in the last few weeks @WrexhamAFCWomen.”

Not the most memorable of days for Nomads, who lost the tie and also endured the blow of goalkeeper Charlie Bolland going off injured on 35 minutes.

Bolland was victim of a late challenge which left her unable to continue and meant Jade Scott deputising between the sticks for the rest of the game.

Adran Premier hosts Saints took a 23rd minute lead when Lexie Harrison put away a penalty awarded for a foul on Emily Ridge.

Six minutes later, Georgia Griffiths set up Lucie Platt to slot home.

Underdogs Nomads, from tier 2 Adran North, had their moments, Kirstie Kural and Kyle Jones with good efforts, but the game was all but over as a contest when Caitlin Chapman made it 3-0 on 56 minutes with a fine finish.

Griffiths added a fourth two minutes from time when she intercepted an attempted pass from the Quay defence and found the bottom left corner of the net.
