Northop Hall ended 2021 on a high note with a five-goal victory over league newcomers Llangefni in the only North Wales Women’s League fixture played today.

Having won 4-0 on Anglesey earlier in the season, the Flintshire girls completed a double over the islanders.

The Hall struck early, taking the lead on just three minutes. Holly Mayers floated in a fantastic cross and midfielder Chelsea Evans headed home.

It remained 1-0 until the 33rd minute when Millie Sigsworth doubled the home lead.

Holly Mayers added a third on the stroke of half time with her fifth goal in three games. The in-form youngster latched onto a through ball which put her one-on-one with the keeper and Mayers calmly lobbed into the back of the net from just outside the area for goal number eight of the season.

Brygida Gorecka added a fourth on 78 minutes with a header, assisted by Sigsworth sending another superb delivery into the box.

Abbie Holland made it five six minutes from time. Breaking out into the midfield, she found herself with time enough to get a shot away from quite a way out and the ball found the back of the net.
