Some crunch ties await in NWCFA Junior Cup quarter-finals

No less than SEVEN of the eight teams to make the quarter-finals of the NWCFA Junior Cup compete in North Wales Coast West Division One.

The only qualifier not in that division, Henllan of North Wales Coast East Division One, have landed a home draw against Llanystumdwy in the last eight.

Henllan proved what a good side they are by eliminating Rhyl Dragons on penalties in the last round.

However, they will have their hands full against Llanystumdwy, whose player-manager Sion Parry has more than 300 career goals on his record, 32 of those coming this season.

Tie of the round is possibly Llanfairpwll v Bethesda Athletic, two past winners of this competition aiming to restore former glories, starting in tier 5.

Pwll have done the double over Pesda in the league this term.

Talysarn Celts versus Llannerchymedd is another potential cracker involving two teams in the upper reaches of North Wales Coast West Division One.

Celts won 3-1 at Medd in a league encounter back in July.

An all-Anglesey affair sees outsiders Bodorgan host Cemaes Bay, who are ranked among the favourites to win the cup.

Bodorgan held Bay 2-2 at home early in the 2021-22 season, but Cemaes triumphed 7-1 in the return at School Lane in October.

Ties to be played February 12, 2022

Bodorgan v Cemaes Bay
Henllan v Llanystumdwy
Llanfairpwll v Bethesda Athletic
Talysarn Celts v Llannerchymedd
