What do Trearddur Bay striker Chloe Taylor and the late Dave Greenfield from The Stranglers have in common ?
You’ll never guess unless you know quite a bit about them both – they both keep/kept pet rats!
Dave (1949-2020) awesome keyboardist, singer and songwriter with punk legends The Stranglers was very fond of his rodents. He once kept 15 of them at his Cambridge country home – and luckily his wife Pam loved them too!
Chloe shares her home with Caws, Cracar, Pickle and Onion – four little cuties who she loves as much as her sport. If she ever expands the family I wonder if she would consider calling one Roland, or even Dave! (after Greenfield not me).
These interviews for Female Focus just get better and better. Chloe’s a star – full of fun and that’s how we like it. 😁 See you later, I’m off to listen to Rattus Norvegicus 🎹🎹🎹

I always loved playing football on the school yard and for the school and college team. I never really started playing in a league though until I finished uni and moved back to the island. I watched Amlwch ladies one Sunday and decided to give it a go.
I’ve always played an attacking position because I’ll run all day and never give up, not for my finishing ability!
There’s a reason Trearddur Bay Ladies sing (to the tune of Atomic Kitten, Whole Again) 🎼🎼…. Taylor you’re the one…. you can’t score a goal again. 🎼🎼
I was massively into my bodybuilding type resistance training at one point but noticed I was always picking up injuries on the pitch. I only weight train a couple of evenings now but play or train netball/football most evenings !
Coaching, playing netball (for Menai Mavericks and Menai Thunder in Gwynedd and Anglesey League), spending time with family and winding my friends up.
My work pal Katie Davies (Williams)! She played for Liverpool and Wales back in the day but I had the honour of playing with her in Jersey!
You’ll never meet anyone more supportive, even if she did take the mick out of me for wearing my shin pads on the wrong legs!
Currently Emma Raducanu. What a legend she is!
I’ve been influenced by lots of coaches but a special shout out has to go to Lefty. When I played for Amlwch I would get terrible shin splints. Before every game he would put deep heat on my shins and strap them up….. even when they were really hairy 😂.
I’ve always been pretty strict with myself in terms of eating a healthy diet. The kids in school always think I’ve got alcohol with me because I always drink out of a glass bottle.
I’m far from perfect though…. I have had one hot dog in the Prince after a game this season!
It’s not something I’ve given any thought to be honest.
I don’t think the elite tier is something we have to worry about in Trearddur Bay for a few years….. we do have some elite drinkers though!
I’d say the best game I’ve played in was a cup final for Amlwch against Caernarfon. I thought I was Vinnie Jones closing everyone down.
The only problem is that we lost 1-0 because twinkle toes (Lexi Crawley, former Amlwch player) scored the winner at the end of the second half! It felt like a win to us at the time though after a really tough season!
Going to Jersey to represent Ynys Môn. I loved every second of it!
Not at the moment! I’m a bridesmaid in Cyprus in 2023 so I’m hoping all of the Covid crap is done by then!
Yes! I have 4 pet rats. Caws, Cracar, Pickle and Onion.
They are very cute and friendly and not at all what people think of them!
I must admit on a good day I love my current job as a PE teacher. On a bad day… I’d like to become a zoo keeper and look after the orangutans.
To keep playing for as long as possible and just keep enjoying it!
A goal or two would also be nice!
