GWYNEDD AND ANGLESEY NETBALL WINTER LEAGUE RESULTS – NOVEMBER 16 & 17

ADRAN 1 CYNGRHAIR GAEAF/DIVISION 1 WINTER LEAGUE – NOV 17

Llangefni 25-22 WaliB’s
(5-6; 11-13; 19-16; 25-22)

Llangefni picked up their first victory of the season at the expense of winless WaliB’s, who now occupy bottom spot.
It looked promising for WaliB’s when they led 6-5 after the first, then 13-11 at half time.
However, the Anglesey side battled back to win the third session 8-3 and drawing the last 6-6 meant Cefni won by three goals.

Penygroes Primos 31-11 Dyffryn Ladies
(6-3; 9-7; 23-10; 31-11)

Primos stormed away in the final two quarters after leading just 9-7 at the midway point.

Arfon Ladies 18-15 Menai Mavericks
(7-2; 11-7; 15-10; 18-15)

Even though they lost the final session 5-3, Arfon had build up a big enough lead over the first three to clinch the win.

Tim o Walis 27-17 Arfon Celts
(4-6; 12-11; 20-13; 27-17)

This match was in the balance at half time with Walis just a goal in front, but the Division One leaders took the last two quarters 8-2 and 7-4 to seal what in the end proved a comfortable victory.

ADRAN 2 CYNGRHAIR GAEAF/DIVISION 2 WINTER LEAGUE – NOV 16

Clwb Pêlrwyd y Cymric 15-11 Môniars
(3-3; 5-5; 11-7; 15-11)

A decisive third quarter clinched a first win for Cymric.
The students won that session 6-2, with all other quarters being drawn.

Pwllheli Wildcats 10-6 Bethesda
(5-1; 6-1; 7-4; 10-6)

Wildcats had to work hard to maintain their 100 percent record.
Leading 6-1 at half time, things were looking comfortable for the Pwllheli side, but Bethesda fought back to win the third quarter 3-1.
Wildcats edged the last 3-2 to finish on top in a good contest.

Walis Bryncoch 22-15 Celts Bach
(8-5; 11-9; 19-12; 22-15)

Just two goals in front at the midway stage, Bryncoch established a match-winning lead by winning quarter three 7-3.

WaliC’s 23-16 Walis Difas
(5-7; 10-11; 17-14; 23-16)

Difas were a goal ahead at halfway, but C’s upped their game in the second half, winning the quarters 7-3 and 6-2 to secure the victory.
