Nomads romped to the Genero Adran North summit with an eight-goal demolition of Airbus at The Quay 3G today.

And Francesca Scott made it 12 goals in just four games with a hat-trick for the new leaders.

Jordan Parry’s side went into the game knowing even a draw would send them top on goal difference.

Nomads began slowly, were wasteful in possession and struggled to get control of the game as Airbus started fast and pressed quickly.

However, after a while the hosts got a grip on proceedings and after 11 minutes they opened the scoring through Scott.

A corner came into the box and dropped in the six-yard area where the ex-New Saints and Stoke City forward was on hand to fire home from close range.

One minute later Nomads scored again – and it was Scott once more on target. She was sent through one-on-one with the Airbus keeper and coolly slotted the ball into the net.

Nomads went on to create a host of chances, but initially failed to take any of them.

Finally, on the 40-minute mark Kirstie Kural finished into an open net after the Airbus goalkeeper had made a quickfire double save.

Into the second half and just 10 minutes in, Nomads had scored two more. First Amber Bailey had a shot deflect off her chest which wrong-footed the keeper and ended up in the back of the net.

Then Kural, always threatening from free kicks, fired one from 30 yards out into the top corner for her 14th goal of the season.

Scott completed her hat-trick with a back post finish from a cross, then Shannon Hobbs scored directly from a corner which may have touched another Nomads player, but Shannon claimed it for herself.

In added time Bailey arrived late into the box to receive a pass and curled the ball into the top corner.

Denbigh Town 0

Gemma Jones notched a hat-trick as Llanfair celebrated a first league win of the season at the expense of Denbigh.

The prolific Jones, the team’s most consistent goal-getter in recent years, struck on 19, 61 and 64 minutes for the Powys hosts.

Emma Williams opened the scoring on 17 minutes and Jones’ first made it 2-0 at half time.

Early in the second half, Tonicha Lloyd kept up her good run by notching number three for the home side.

Annalee Hudson-Owen added a fourth before Jones added a quickfire double to make it an overall treble.
