Only three teams in North Wales senior football now have 100 percent league records – who are they?

Four months into the 2021-22 North Wales senior football season and just three teams are left with 100 percent league records.

Bodedern Athletic of the North Wales Coast West Premier Division and Chirk AAA of the Ardal North East both have perfect slates of 11 league matches, 11 wins.

Although their stats are not as prolific, Hawarden Rangers Vets of the North East Wales League Veterans Championship Division also have an unblemished start of four straight wins to be proud of.

BODEDERN ATHLETIC (tier 4 – North Wales Coast West Premier Division)

Bodedern have had the beating of everyone, teams near the top, the middle and the bottom so far.

They have yet to meet table-toppers and fellow undefeated side Bangor 1876, but that one is coming soon.

Boded have averaged five goals per league game – 55 scored in 11 – with 34 of them coming via super strike force Marc Evans (18) and Asa Thomas (16).

Their biggest league victory is 12-0, achieved versus Pentraeth on October 30, and they have conceded a ridiculously low eight goals so far.

Ricky Williams’ side have a big test coming up on Saturday (November 6), when the always capable Penrhyndeudraeth visit Cae Ty Cristion.

And on November 20 is the huge one – Bodedern v Bangor 1876.

CHIRK AAA (tier 3 – Ardal North West)

To go straight into a new league and dominate the way Chirk AAA have is magnificent.

Eleven consecutive wins, 50 goals, a miserly five conceded and five points clear at the summit.

Chirk have also had numerous cup commitments to contend with, so the Colliers have made a superb start to the 2021-22 season.

Unlike Bodedern’s goals chart, Chirk’s is more spread around, Matty Thomas heading the league stats with nine goals, just ahead of Louie Middlehurst (8) and Dale Davies (6).

HAWARDEN RANGERS VETS

Top of the Veterans Championship table in the North East Wales League after four straight wins – you cannot knock an unbeaten record.

Leading scorer by some distance is Alan Dawson who (if my memory serves me correctly) is a former Buckley Town, Mynydd Isa and New Brighton Villa centre-forward (if I’m thinking of the right one – apologies if wrong).

Dawson has netted 12 goals in his last three games for Hawarden, who have conceded just once in their four victories on the bounce.
