Just two games played but 20 goals scored in the Rhyl and District Sunday Football League

Kai Davies fired in a hat-trick for Conwy Comrades

Rhyl and District Sunday League results and reports for October 31

Y Clwb P FC Mally P

Match postponed due to waterlogged pitch

Conwy Comrades 8 (Kai Davies 3, Jamie Haggas, Joe Carey, Harry Roberts, Logan Williams, Dominic Stringer)
Rhyl Wanderers 0

Kai Davies was a hat-trick hero as Comrades joined Millbank on 10 points at the Sunday League summit.

After losing 4-1 at home to Y Clwb seven days earlier, the Conwy lads bounced back in great style today, putting 8 past Rhyl Wanderers.

Jamie Haggas, Joe Carey, Harry Roberts, Logan Williams and Dominic Stringer added a goal apiece.

There was some fantastic football from start to finish from Comrades’ attacking players and rock solid defence ensured a clean sheet.

This was much more like the usual Comrades with lots of goals and good attacking play.

Next week sees the Conwy side take on BarBow in cup action.

The Alex 1 (Ryan Williams)
Millbank 11 (Aiden Bell 4, Jack Davies 3, Mattie Edge 2, Jay Hughes, Alex Hall)

(match abandoned 75 minutes – result stands)

The Alex started the game with nine men and finished up with six due to injuries 15 minutes from the end.

This resulted in the match being abandoned as the hosts did not have the required number of players on the pitch.

However, the score will stand as 75% of the game had been played, the league confirmed this evening.

Millbank are now second in the table on goal difference.

Aiden Bell was the star man for the Rhyl visitors, scoring four times, including the first two. Ben Spencer set him up for the opener before Bell doubled the lead with a total screamer.

Jack Davies applied a bottom corner finish and before the interval Mattie Edge rounded off a good move which started from the back with number four.

Great work from Alex Hall teed up Bell for his hat-trick early in the second half.

And Bell made it 6-0 with his fourth when he picked up a loose ball from the Alex defence and drilled home.

Jack Davies walked the ball into the net before Jay Hughes and Hall also scored to make the state of play 9-0.

Ryan Williams pulled one back for Alex, but Millbank were not finished, Edge making it a double from a Davies assist to reach double figures.

Edge became the provider for Davies to score a personal treble.

Table up to and including October 31
