Bangor 1876 are delighted to welcome new signing Sion Edwards to the fold – but on another front there is disappointing news ahead of this weekend.
The club’s North Wales Coast West Premier Division match at home to Nefyn United that was due to take place this Saturday, October 30, at 2.30 pm has been postponed.
This is because a number of the 1876 squad are currently affected by Covid-19 and having to self-isolate.
This match will be re-scheduled and the club will inform everyone of the re-arranged date when they can. To see an updated list of 1876 fixtures, click on this link: https://www.bangor1876.com/news/latest-fixture-list-2628335.html
Following the postponement of this Saturday’s game, 1876’s next match is due to be at home to Amlwch in the league on Saturday 6 November (2 pm kick-off).
Meanwhile, the capture of former Bangor City star Edwards from Colwyn Bay has caused quite a stir at Nantporth.
First team manager Dylan Williams said: “This is certainly another good signing. Sion’s experience and creativity will be of great benefit to the squad.”
Bangor 1876 chairman Glynne Roberts added: “We are delighted to be able to attract a player of Sion’s calibre and experience. As we strive to improve, having someone of Sion’s undoubted talent will be a huge asset to us and will help us push on.”
