Reports – Wednesday, August 11: Bodedern make it eight wins on the bounce

TIER 4: NORTH WALES COAST WEST PREMIER DIVISION MATCH REPORTS – WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12
CPD Aberffraw 0
Bodedern Athletic 4 (Asa Thomas 50, Casey Boylan pen 68, Sam Gregson 87, Shaun Jenkins 90+2)
It is now eight straight wins this season for a Bodedern side in awesome form.
Ricky Williams’ men maintained their 100% record in all competitions with a 4-0 triumph at Aberffraw last night.
Athletic have won all four league matches to date in the North Wales Coast West Premier Division.
Aberffraw were expected to present the toughest hurdle of the campaign so far for Boded, and the first half suggested that was the case with the interval arriving scoreless.
However, five minutes into the second half, the cheekiest of finishes from Asa Thomas – his 12th goal of the season – broke the deadlock.
Casey Boylan doubled the away lead from the penalty spot and before the end Sam Gregson and Shaun Jenkins found the target.

Penrhyndeudraeth 1 (Steven Jones 12)
Penrhyndeudraeth manager Iwan Williams pulled no punches after his team’s shock 7-1 hammering at Llanberis on Tuesday.
After a flying start to the season, the Cockles were well and truly shelled at Ffordd Padarn against all expectations.
Ryan Owen and Tomos Saynor both scored twice in the second half for the Darans, who led 3-1 at the break thanks to goals from Ifan Mansoor, Tom Collins and Cal MacDonald.
Steven Jones drew Penrhyn level at one point, but it was all downhill after that for the Maes-y-Parc men.
The visitors had Iwan Thomas dismissed for a second yellow on 36 minutes.
Penrhyn manager Williams said: “We were atrocious tonight. We were way off it. We can’t blame injuries or the sending off for that tonight, Llanberis were by far better than us in every aspect of the game.
“I hope that spurs us on or gives us the kick up the backside we need. I’m embarrassed by that tonight so hopefully my players understand or know how much that hurts. We now need to reset and start again.
“Apologies to our supporters who turned up in their numbers, that’s all on me. Sometimes it’s easy to comment when you win, but I need to comment when we lose also. We can’t hide from that.”
Gwalchmai 6 (Dion Owen 6, 18, 90+3 pen, Alex Cooper 14, Cameron Jones 61, Connor Owen 75)
Pentraeth 2 (Gareth Roberts 78 & 86)

Dion Owen was a hat-trick hero as Gwalchmai celebrated their first league win of the season in style.
Manager Liam Ewing was delighted with his team’s performance in thrashing Pentraeth 6-2 at Maes Meurig.
“I’m very pleased with last night’s result,” he said. “Main objective was to secure the 3 points no matter how it was done.
“My guys put in arguably the best performance so far at this early stage of the season. We dominated large parts of the match, we retained possession for large parts, we were positionally disciplined defensively and offensively, we committed bodies into the opposition’s penalty are and we defended in numbers.
“We took our chances when they came and overall fully deserved the win.”
Ewing added: “Disappointed to have conceded two goals but take nothing away from the performance. Really happy to have won, and won in style.
“The lads were a credit to the football club and have set the standard moving forward into Saturday’s game away at Pwllheli.”
Alex Cooper, Cameron Jones and Connor Owen also scored for Gwalch, Gareth Roberts with two consolations for Pentraeth.
CPD Nefyn United 5 (Tomos Llewelyn Jones 12, Dafydd Gwyn Jones 33, Dylan Sion Jones 48, Carl Jones 56, Ifan Gwilym Jones 90)
Llanrug United 0

Jones dominated the scoresheet for Nefyn last night as five separate players with the popular surname scored for the North Wales Coast West Premier Division leaders in a thrashing of Llanrug at Cae’r Delyn.
The win keeps the Penwaig at the summit with a record of five straight victories.
Tomos Llewelyn Jones and Dafydd Gwyn Jones netted in the first half for the hosts.
Dylan Sion Jones, Carl Jones and Ifan Gwilym Jones added further goals in the second half.
Menai Bridge Tigers 3 (Matthew Hughes 47, Dean Redmond 56, Sam Faulkner 57)
Mynydd Llandegai 2 (Liam Willighan 5 & 27)

After trailing 2-0 at half time, Menai Bridge fought back to claim victory with three goals which included a stunning winner from Sam Faulkner.
Mynydd were in control at the break, Liam Willighan having scored on five and 27 minutes for Huw Davies’ side.
However, the Tigers turned the tables in the second half.
Substitute Paul Rowlands set up Matthew Hughes to halve the deficit on 47 minutes, then Dean Redmond levelled on 56 helped by a Harry Jones assist.
Then came the decider – a thunderous effort from Faulkner to bank all three points for Aaron Rowlands’ men.
