Bangor 1876 add two more experienced players to women’s squad

Defenders Lowri Evans and Nia Roberts are the latest additions to CPDM Bangor 1876’s first team squad.

Speaking about the move, Lowri commented: “The reason I chose Bangor is because I knew a few of the girls that were signing as I had played with them in the past.

“Expectations are to see how it goes as it’s the first season, enjoy each game as a team and hopefully a few wins along the way.”

On signing for Bangor, Nia said: “I joined because I have missed the game so much due to Covid.

I played for Bethesda beforehand and a few of the girls signed for Bangor so I knew it would be a good strong spirited team.”

1876 manager Jonny Batten gave his reaction to the latest additions to his squad.

“It’s great to have both on board. They are experienced defenders with lots of ambition always giving 100% in everything they do.

I’m certain they will be great additions to the squad and will provide us with excellent defensive options.”
