Lauren Reese struck twice as Wrexham scored four on their travels for a second weekend running.

Having edged a 4-3 victory at Connah’s Quay Nomads last Sunday, seven days on, their win away to Whitchurch Alport was far more emphatic.

Reese got the ball rolling in some style when her thunderous third-minute free kick from 25 yards went in off the bar.

The game was played over three half-hour periods, and by the end of the first Rebecca Pritchard had put away a penalty to make it 2-0 to the Dragonesses.

On the hour the visitors added a third when Teleri Williams was slid through and finished calmly.

Reese grabbed her second and Wrexham’s fourth on 75 minutes after Libby MacKenzie’s initial shot was saved.

MacKenzie missed a penalty before the end.

Three experienced players shared the goals for Rhyl in a comfortable home win at Belle Vue.

Nat Harrison grabbed a double, while Ceri Purvis and Laura Williams added singles for the hosts.

Williams is set for a welcome return to competitive action this season after a break from the game.

The striker is one of Rhyl’s finest players of recent years, scoring their first hat-trick in the Welsh Premier in 2014/15.

Northop also played their part in a good game played in blazing sunshine, Debra Wright getting a goal back.
