Rhyl club NFA need new girl players

Some of the NFA Under-14s

New girl players are needed by a football club with an outstanding track record for developing young talent.

Rhyl-based NFA have spaces available in their under-14, U-16 and U-19 squads.

NFA director Rebekah Hansen said: “We’re open to all abilities. We just want girls to come along and try it, even if they’ve never played before and hopefully from there they’ll fall in love with the game.”

With five of their finest players recently going on to bigger things – and two more moving clubs – NFA are now in need of new recruits.

Emily Loudon has landed a playing contract at Liverpool FC RTC (Regional Talent Club), as well as gaining a place in the new FAW academy following her trials.

Kelci Morris, Megan Galeandro and Cadi Doran have been selected for the new FAW girls academy and Skye Parry is joining the Wales Elite Youth football academy.

NFA is a great local success story – and it wants to continue building.

Training sessions are held at Rhyl Leisure Centre.

Under-14 training is Thursday 6.30-7.30 pm
Under-16 training is Thursday 5.30-6.30 pm
Under-19 training is Tuesday 6:30 pm
