DENBIGH (0) 73-10 LLANDUDNO (15) 299-5

Dan Evans celebrated the ‘perfect game’ for Llandudno as he notched a century and took five wickets in a resounding victory at Denbigh.

Evans produced his second highest league score for Tudno of 141 and came up with second best-ever bowling figures of 5-37 in a dream day at Ystrad Road.

All-rounder Evans, 23, passed 5,000 league runs for the club in recording a 10th ton, his mightiest all-time knock being 145 not out at Hawarden Park in 2016.

His latest century came off 124 balls, including 22 fours and a six.

Put into bat at Ystrad Road, Tudno amassed 299-5 off their 40 overs, Jake Sumbland posting a career finest 70 not out.

Evans and Sumbland shared a fourth wicket stand of 134.

Denbigh were bowled out for just 73 in 23.3 overs, Jack Griffiths producing a defiant 34.

Evans’ 5-37 off 10 overs took him to 233 league wickets and has been bettered only by his 5-8 v Chirk in 2017.

Tom Thornton scooped 4-19 off 11.3 in a 15-0 triumph for The Oval side.
