Gaerwen 6 Arriva Bangor 3

Darren Lewthwaite netted twice for Gaerwen in Wednesday night’s win over the Busmen.

Matthew Lock, Lewis Owen, Danny Roberts and Tom Allport also found the net for the Anglesey side.

Assists were provided by Man of the Match Lock and Ryan Wood (two each), Owen and Lewthwaite one apiece.

“Easily and by far our best performance in pre-season so far,” said winning boss Justin Gallagher.

“Five different goal scorers and 5-6 players who could have made genuine claims for man of the match.”

Mochdre Sports 2 Llandudno Junction 0

A brace from man of the match Niall Owen saw Mochdre secure a 2-0 victory against neighbours Llandudno Junction.

One of Owen’s goals was a 35 yard half volley into the top corner which is being hailed tonight on social media as one of the club’s greatest in recent years.

Glantraeth 3 Bodedern Athletic 3

Gethin Davies, Scott Hughes and a trialist were on the mark for Glantraeth in this home friendly against Bodedern.

New signing Tomos Owen, Marc Evans and Casey Gregg replied for Boded.

Corwen 3 Dolgellau AAFC 1

Two goals from Tom Williams helped Corwen to victory over a Dolgellau side which has today been promoted to tier 3 Ardal East, filling a vacancy left by the resignation of Montgomery Town.

The FAW National Leagues Board considered applications from several clubs, which were submitted in accordance with the FAW Pyramid Regulation 4d, but Dolgellau landed the available position.

Corwen’s other goal was scored by a trialist.

Mynydd Isa 3 Mynydd Isa Under-19’s 1

Man of the match Adam Woosey netted twice and Modestas Krukonis also scored in this good contest between Mynydd Isa’s senior squad and their promising under-19’s.
