What happens now to other North Wales women’s teams not in Tier 2 North ?

Llanystumdwy are now eligible for the area leagues after just missing out on Tier 2 North

Eight northern/mid-Wales teams have secured places in Tier 2 North – but what happens to the rest?

They will be accommodated in area leagues covering tiers 3 and 4.

Amlwch Town, Colwyn Bay, Llanystumdwy and NFA all passed stage 1 of the Tier 2 North licensing process, but unfortunately did not make the final eight.

Hopefully those four clubs can go on to have strong seasons in the area leagues.

What North Wales teams can we expect to see in the area leagues?
Amlwch Town
CPDM Bangor 1876
Caernarfon Town
Colwyn Bay
Corwen
Holywell Town
Llangefni Town
Llanystumdwy
NFA
Northop Hall
Penrhyn Bay
CPD Y Rhyl 1879
Trearddur Bay Bulls

Not all of those above are confirmed and it will now require the North East Wales FA to form the Tier 3 and 4 leagues.

Grassroots North Wales hopes to bring you details as soon as possible.

The new-look women’s football pyramid in Wales for 2021-22 will comprise…
Tier 1 – 8 teams
Tier 2 North and South – both 8 teams
Tier 3 Area Leagues
Tier 4 Area Leagues
