Her speed and exquisite left foot made Jasmine Kepil one of the most exciting players to watch in the North Wales Women’s Football League.

Today the talented winger from Llanrwst celebrates her 26th birthday.

Born on April 20, 1995, Jasmine is best known for her goals and dynamic performances for Kinmel Bay between 2016-17 to 2018-19.

She started playing football around the age of seven, inspired by her dad.

Her first football team was Llanrwst Under-10 Girls, a very strong side for a group of youngsters with limited experience.

Jasmine later joined Llanrwst Under-11 Boys where her skills continued to develop.

At the age of 12 she began playing for her school team.

After signing up for Kinmel Bay as a senior for the 2016-17 season, Jasmine’s talents really began to shine.

Her pacy running down the wing, fast feet and excellent crossing and shooting soon led to the goals and assists flowing.

One of her best performances came at Prestatyn, where she banged in a second hat-trick – her first treble in a while.

I first saw her in action during this season and what she offered on the pitch was certainly something different and more eye-catching to what I’d seen before.

In 2017, she represented the Kinmel Bay side which came second in their section at the FAW National Women’s Football Festival in Cardiff.

Jasmine kept scoring steadily for Bay in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, but the team then dropped out of the North Wales Women’s League and joined the North Wales Ladies Recreational League, where they performed well.

Like for all other North Wales women’s teams, the current 2020-21 season was a non-starter due to coronavirus.

It remains to be seen what Jasmine’s football plans are for the future, but at just 26 she has plenty of good years left if she continues playing.

Happy birthday Jasmine have a great day.
