Sara Furlong of newly-formed women’s team Bangor 1876 chooses the final line-up in our North Wales Dream Team series.

Over the past three months, players past and present from across North Wales have chosen what they consider their best XI’s from across the region.

Former Amlwch Town and Bangor City defender Sara selects the 30th and final team.

She follows previous ‘managers’ Danielle Alice, Siwan Elenid, Iona Williams, Ffion Evans, Shona Roberts, Ellie Sandiford, Carol Lewis, Ceryl Jones, Paige Williams (Amlwch), Tegan Hewitt, Alaw Davies-Smith, Nia Wyn Ellis, Annmarie Jones, Fflur Williams, Chelsea Evans, Abby Williams, Gwenno Gibbard Bolton, Lexi Crawley, Claire Colville, Cerys Gadd, Libby McClelland, Meinir Thomas, Erica Jones, Rachel Roberts, Beca Williams, Mari Gibbard, Emily Jones, Cara Wyn Hughes and Catrin Wyn Thomas.

Thanks so much to you all, you’ve been so helpful.

From next week, we will run a series of Managers/Coaches North Wales XI’s

SARA’S SUPERSTARS (4-4-2)

GOALKEEPER

Nicky Davies

Nicky (green) and Sara celebrate a win for Ynys Môn along with defender Carol Lewis

Nicky is a great goalkeeper to have in any team, always a positive influence.
She’s one of the best I’ve played in the same team with.
With 64 full Wales caps and having played at the top level with Liverpool, she’s done it all.

DEFENDERS

Right back – Jordanne Greenough

Great defensive player.
Super fast! Would not enjoy racing her to the ball.

Centre back – Erica Jones

Brilliant defender. Would much rather play alongside her than against.
She would be a great asset to any team.
Erica has been picked for so many of these dream teams and no wonder.

Centre back – Katie Davies

Would love to have the opportunity to play alongside Katie. One of the best players I’ve watched locally.
Wales international, ex-Liverpool player, also Bangor City Girls and Caernarfon Town.

Left back – Lowri Hughes

A player that is ridiculously hard to get past (learnt through experience haha!). She gets goals at the other end of the field too.

MIDFIELDERS

Right wing – Cara Wyn Hughes

Cara is another player I’d love to play in the same team with.
Hard-working, great on the ball and has played in the Welsh Premier for Llandudno and Caernarfon Town where she did really well.
One of the best players around locally.

Centre midfield – Charlotte Gill

Most definitely one of the best I’ve played alongside.
She makes getting past players look super easy. Has played for some top clubs, including Doncaster Belles.

Centre midfield – Ffion Owen

Another great player who is always super calm on the ball.
Always consistent with her game and definitely one you would call a goal scoring midfielder.

Left wing – Gwenno Peters

Another FAST player.
Makes running past somebody with a ball look easy.
Very underrated player. Should be appreciated and talked about a lot more for her talent.

FORWARDS

Mari Gibbard

Mari is just class, why wouldn’t I pick her for my Dream Team?
Great player with Llandudno, Bethel, scores some amazing goals.

Anna Jones

Very strong player who isn’t afraid of any opponent.
She joined Chester last season, but has been an amazing player for Caernarfon Town and Llandudno in the past.
