Manchester United’s North Walian midfielder Dylan Levitt has joined Croatian side NK Istra 1961 on loan, subject to international clearance.

The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at League One Charlton Athletic, where he made five first team-appearances, and will finish the campaign with the Pula-based club.

NK Istra 1961 are currently bottom of the Croatian First Football League/Prva HNL.

“The Wales international has taken the decision to further his development by experiencing playing abroad,” Manchester United said on their website.

“Everybody at United would like to wish Dylan the best of luck this term as we follow his progress closely at the Aldo Drosina Stadium.”

Levitt has made one senior appearance for United, against Astana in the Europa League in November 2019.

He could make his NK Istra 1961 debut against HNK Sibenik in the Croatian Cup on Wednesday.

Born in Bodelwyddan, former Connah’s Quay Tigers player Levitt grew up in Flint.

He made his debut for Wales Under-17’s in 2016, making three appearances for the side.

The midfielder was capped nine times for Wales U-19, played once at U-21 level and represented the senior team for the first time on 3 September 2020 in a 1–0 2020–21 UEFA Nations League B away win against Finland.

He has earned five full caps for Wales to date.
