Connah’s Quay Nomads v The New Saints
Cymru Premier League – Saturday 4.30 pm (live on S4C’s Sgorio)

Nomads can move level on points with leaders The New Saints if they win today’s Cymru Premier clash against their arch rivals.

Andy Morrison’s side will be out for revenge having suffered their only league defeat of the current season at the hands of Scott Ruscoe’s Park Hall outfit – a 1-0 away reverse in October.

TNS, undefeated this term, are sure to be fired up as they bid to reclaim a league title they lost to the Nomads in 2019-20. Before that, Saints had been crowned champions eight seasons on the bounce to make it a record 13 titles in all.

By contrast, Quay landed the national league championship for the first time in their history last season.

So what is Nomads boss Andy Morrison’s record like against TNS?

Probably better than most. In 18 league tussles with the Saints, he has won five, lost 10 and drawn 3.

Last season the Quay won and drew against TNS at Deeside Stadium, but lost on both visits to Park Hall.

Here is a look at how Morrison’s encounters have gone against the full-timers since he became Nomads manager in 2015.
