Scott Hughes maintained his prolific pre-season form with a treble in Glantraeth’s seven-goal feast against Bangor’s youngsters.
Tim Cavanagh added a double for Sean Brett’s side, while Dion Evans and Dylan Williams notched a goal apiece.
Winning boss Brett said: “Good performance against a technically good under-19’s side with some good stuff played. Special mention for the Bangor keeper who made some excellent saves.”
A 10-goal stormer saw Bodorgan stage a late rally to make the final score much closer than it looked like being.
Kyle Hartleb nabbed a double for Pesda, while adding a goal each were Daniel Hughes, Tomos Hughes, Joe Todd and Sion Bullock.
Bodorgan trailed 6-1, but a Luke Winter hat-trick and an own goal added respectability to the scoreline.
After the game, Bodorgan commented: “A simply shocking 5 minutes left us with far too much to do, but we pick the bones out of it and take the positives moving forward.”
Bethesda said on their social media: “Very weird game, feels like a defeat somehow after being 6-1 up with 25 minutes left. Very poor last third takes the shine off but the young lads will learn a lot from it nonetheless.”
