Paris Hargrave converts a penalty for Glantraeth

Goals from Scott Hughes and Paris Hargrave were enough to secure Glantraeth a narrow win over their Anglesey opponents.

Cefni almost got off the mark from a set piece but some brilliant close range saves by Glan’s keeper kept the scores level.

Later in the half, Hughes fired home a superb well-placed shot to break the deadlock.

Both sides played some great football before Glan were awarded a penalty early in the second half which was fired home by striker Hargrave.

Cefni continued to battle and got their rewards soon after with a deserved consolation goal.

Lovely play in the build up saw Craig Evans back-heel a through ball for Nathan Lewis who was closed down quickly.

The rebound fell to Mark Wayne and he slotted the ball away with precision.

New Brighton Villa 2 Airbus UK Under-23’s 2

Good test NBV against a decent young side.

Plenty of positives for the Yellers and more minutes in the bank.

Airbus were thanked for taking the game at short notice.

Sam Jones and Jack Heppleston were on target for Villa.

Prestatyn Sports Development 2 Llandudno FC U23’s 3

A competitive game and some good football from both sides.

Menai Bridge Tigers 1 Porthmadog 5

Sion Hogan netted a consolation goal for the Bridge from a Ryan Davidson assist.

Lewthwaite was man of the match and scored the home goal, set up for him by Lewis Owen.

Good, close fought encounter with Pwll just edging it.
