Liam Dickinson has stepped down as manager of Cymru North club Flint Mountain.
Mountain had not won a game this season when Dickinson replaced Andrew Ruscoe last September, but results soon improved under the new man.
However, the team had lost five of its last six matches and sit next-to-bottom of the 16-club Tier 2 Cymru North league.
Under Dickinson, Mountain played 20 league games, winning eight, drawing one and losing 11.
They had a great three-match winning run in January and February, where they beat Mold Alexandra, Denbigh Town and Buckley Town in quick succession.
Perhaps their best result was a 3-2 victory at Welsh Cup semi-finalists CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in November.
The side’s only knockout tie in Dickinson’s reign was a 3-0 loss at Llandudno in the Welsh Cup last October.
Mountain looked to have stopped the rot when they won 2-1 at Ruthin Town nine days ago, but Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat against fellow strugglers Penrhyncoch proved to be Dickinson’s last game in charge.
