Emma Fisher grabbed a late winner for Llysfaen in this cracking contest.

In a really fast start to the game, Llysfaen adjusted well considering they had never played in a cage before.

They began promisingly, putting pressure on the opposition and winning balls.

Llysfaen peppered the goal area with shots, but the ‘no shooting in the D’ rule impacted their accuracy. The first third ended 0-0.

Mochdre changed their whole team for the second third, so there were plenty of fresh legs. The tempo of the game slowed down a little and players had more time on the ball.

Mochdre put in a solid 15 minutes and got into some good positions, but were not able to take advantage.

In the final third, both sides pressed hard, but Llysfaen were the first to get a breakthrough with a brilliant strike from Sophie Heap.

However, Mochdre did not let their heads drop and came back just a few minutes later to equalise.

The whole Llysfaen team fought really hard in the last 5 or 6 minutes, not giving Mochdre any time on the ball, until interim player-coach Fisher hit the back of the net with another great shot to seal the win.
