Brymbo land great prospect: 10 North Wales football signings (473-482)

Dane Shorrock has joined Brymbo

Dane Shorrock (Mynydd Isa Spartans to Brymbo)

Brymbo are delighted to announce the signing of talented young left back Shorrock.

After plenty of impressive performances and winning the under-19s league with Mynydd Isa last season, Steelmen manager Dave Roberts was keen to get this deal done due to interest from other clubs.

Roberts said: “Dane is a young player that’s come up through the ranks at Mynydd Isa youth from the age of 8 and rose all the way to Mynydd Isa Spartans first team. “He has huge natural talent as well as a desire to work hard and improve. I am absolutely delighted to have him at the club.

“To get him in is a huge coup. I’ve had the privilege of playing against Dane over the last two and a half years and he’s always impressed me with his ability and his temperament.

“He has a huge future in the game and I’m looking forward to working with Dane for many years to come as a Brymbo player.”

George Hibbert (Trearddur Bay Bulls to Caergybi)

George Hibbert

Excellent signing for Caergybi with a former favourite making a welcome return.

The tireless midfielder is back at Holyhead following a productive spell with Trearddur Bay Bulls.

Caergybi manager Dale Moffat said: “We are delighted to have George return to the club, he adds quality to the midfield, is strong in a tackle and good on the ball. He is a massive boost to our growing squad.”

Daniel Roberts (to Gaerwen)

Roberts is an attacking centre midfielder who had tier 3 offers, so Gaerwen manager Justin Gallagher is delighted he has chosen the Lon Groes club for the upcoming season.

Shaun Cowley (Overton to Cefn Mawr Rangers)

Rangers have added goalkeeper Cowley to the ranks after completing his transfer from Overton FC.

Shaun, 32, impressed the Cefn management last season when Rangers travelled to Overton for a Welsh National League Division One clash.

The keeper has committed fully to Rangers’ pre-season plans and as a result has lost more than a stone in weight.

Matthew Russell (Cheadle Town to Flint Town United)

Russell, 32, started out as a junior with Manchester City.

He later moved to Curzon Ashton and has also played for Mossley and Cheadle Town, from where he signs for Flint.

Came on as a substitute in the Silkmen’s opening day 1-0 victory over Newtown in the Cymru Premier League.

Kai Jackson (Gresford Athletic to Cefn Mawr Rangers)

Central defender Kai Jackson joins the Rangers from Cymru North club Gresford Athletic.

Jackson, 18, previously captained Cefn Druids reserves and U-19 teams as they won their respective leagues.

He then signed for Penycae before moving to Gresford.

Kai was also capped twice for Wales U-18 when they faced Republic of Ireland.

Cai Rowlands (to Gaerwen)

Pacy winger who has experience with the Caernarfon Academy system and player for a successful Cae Glyn juniors team.

Jamie Edwards (to Llangollen Town)

Centre-back Edwards has been getting stuck into pre-season training and showing he won’t back out of a challenge.

This 21-year-old is another great addition to a young squad at Tower Field.

Jacob Wise (Holywell Town to Cefn Druids)

Giant defender Wise was a key man for a Holywell side which lifted the Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) Premier Division title at the first attempt last season.

His partnership with Danny Dobbins and James Graham ensured the Wellmen boasted North Wales’ meanest defence.

It looked like Wise would be starting the new campaign in the Cymru North with the promoted Wellmen, but instead this former FC Nomads centre-back has leapt up to the Cymru Premier with Druids.

Ben Rowlands (Cefn Mawr Rangers to Llangollen Town)

Rowlands joins North East Wales Premier Division club Llangollen from Cefn Mawr Rangers.

He has been impressing his new management in training and is seen as a great addition to the squad.
