Positive news regarding a NWCFA Reserve League being formed

Paper tear with the word Reserves.

Things are looking promising regarding the formation of a North Wales Coast FA Reserve League.

Up to now 12 clubs are reported to have shown an interest in being part of such a league and the NWCFA considers this sufficient to press ahead with the plan.

Clubs believed to have said yes to a NWCFA Reserve League are:

Abergele
Bontnewydd
Kinmel Bay
Llanberis
Llandyrnog United
Llanfairfechan Town
Llanrug United
Nefyn United
NFA FC
Penmaenmawr Phoenix
Prestatyn Sports
Pwllheli

Interested clubs are believed to have been told that due to the amount of positive responses, and the relatively even split between clubs from the West and the East leagues, it would be practical to have one reserve league of 12 clubs.

The clubs will be asked to confirm their interest by a deadline of this Wednesday.

Many clubs who have spoken to Grassroots North Wales in recent weeks have been anxious for news on a reserve league, with numerous players wishing to be involved.

It is also important for clubs to note the formation of a NWCFA Reserve League is still subject to FAW approval, which is yet to be received.
