Eight new faces, numerous re-signings, a management shake-up and a massive determination to improve on last season – the mood is buoyant at Prestatyn Sports.
Since forming in 2013-14, Sports had shot up the Welsh pyramid from tier 6 to 3, landing a quadruple and two league titles along the way.
Last season proved to be the only disappointment for the club so far as they ended up bottom of Welsh Alliance Division One.
But they are determined to bounce back in 2020-21 as they tackle the tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division.
Jon Hargreaves and Sion Williams will be joint first-team managers, Thomas Brooks is coach and Stuart Butler goalkeeper coach.
New signings to date are: Lee Beattie, Sam Brewerton, Andy Booker, Antonio Jacovelli, Jared Hughes and Chris Kelly, while welcomed back are club icons Gareth Walsh and Chris Lowe.
Retained players are: skipper Shane Middleman, vice-captain Daniel Grindley, Ryan Jones, Steven Ashe, Johnny Harkin, Cy Williams, Sam Herd, Kris Owen, Mark Price, Michael Jones and Ryan Fortune.
Early training sessions have seen great commitment from players old and new alike, raising hopes of a good season ahead.
Former Prestatyn Town man has bags of pace, skill and a wicked left foot.

Young striker who we feel that with a good season under his belt will give him the experience to kick on his football abilities in the future.

Since losing Tommy Court a few seasons back we’ve been desperate for someone of Antonio’s qualities.
Pacey winger with a keen eye for scoring goals and supplying the goods for our strikers to get on the end of.

Must be a absolute pain to play against as you know he won’t leave you alone for 90 minutes.

Sports legend who joins us from Meliden FC. Some of Gaz’s best footballing years have been at the Sports.
Was a quality striker but now prefers defending. Played at right back in our quadruple winning team in 2015 and probably scored more goals that season than most strikers.
Suffered with some back problems after that year but has been training like a racehorse.
Great figure to have in the changing rooms and is a massive plus having him onboard going into the new season.
