Llanfairfechan Town have re-signed a true club legend.
Dave Williams is back at the Recreation Ground after a season with Llandudno Amateurs in the Welsh Alliance second division.
Llanfairfechan’s new manager Adam Parry said: “He’s a club legend, played for us for 25 years, then left last season to play a league higher with Llandudno Amateurs but has decided to come back and see out his career at his hometown club.
“I’m delighted to get him signed back, he’s a massive influence on and off the pitch.
“He’s someone all the lads look up to and has given everyone a big boost. I can’t wait to watch him play in the red and black of Llanfairfechan again.”
Known popularly as Dave “Wills”, the player expressed his delight at returning to the club on social media today.
“It’s fantastic to be involved at Llanfair Town again after one season away.
“I can’t wait to put on that black and red kit again and play at the picturesque Rec Field.
“It was a no-brainer (to return) really after receiving a couple of messages off Adam (Parry) and Curtis (Murray).
“I’ve already noticed that you have made a shrewd signing in Sean Sheridan from Llysfaen.
“With that and an already formidable squad, I look forward to now fighting for my place and getting fit for the upcoming season.”
Adam Parry, who was assistant-manager at Llanfair last season, recently replaced Andrew Croston, who is now chairman of Llandudno FC.
Parry made a big statement by making goal machine Sheridan his first signing.
The front man banged in 31 goals in 18 appearances for Llysfaen last season.
