The Football Association of Wales has today issued the following:
“Following the Football Association of Wales’ decision to suspend domestic football at all levels in Wales until 4 April 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic, UEFA met on Tuesday (17 March) to discuss the completion of the domestic season in addition to the postponement of EURO 2020.
“Should the current situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic improve and it becomes safe to do so, UEFA have requested that the JD Cymru Premier be completed by 30 June 2020.
“During this period, the FAW will be required to nominate its representatives for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League for the 2020/21 season.”
The FAW’s Competitions Department has begun the process of reviewing the fixture schedules of the JD Cymru Leagues, Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League and cup competitions.
