JD Cymru Premier Championship Conference
Bala Town v The New Saints (8 pm)

Bala manager Colin Caton

Having celebrated their first-ever league win over Saints at the 33rd attempt back in August, can Bala repeat the dose at Maes Tegid on Friday night?
It would certainly throw the cat right among the pigeons in the Cymru Premier title race if they do!
Last weekend saw phase two of the season kick off and leaders TNS were surprisingly beaten 2-1 at home by Newtown, while Connah’s Quay Nomads defeated Barry to close the gap to a single point.
And with Bala just six points behind champions Saints, a home win for them on Friday would halve the deficit.
While the overall league stats between the Lakesiders and TNS read: Played 34, TNS won 22, drawn 11, Bala won 1, the next game is the most important one.

Welsh Alliance League Mawddach Challenge Cup round two (2 pm)
Llanrwst United v Holyhead Hotspur

The chances of this one going ahead has to be viewed as doubtful given the recent Conwy Valley floods and Storm Dennis on the way.
In the miraculous event the tie goes ahead, it’s a potential cracker.
Llanrwst whipped Hotspur 5-1 at Parc Gwydir in the league earlier this season, but the Holy Islanders got revenge with a 5-4 FAW Trophy triumph on the same ground.
The Rwsters are having a fine season, while Hotspur are undefeated in 13. Their last loss was that 5-1 caning at Llanrwst back in November. There will be a pitch inspection on Saturday morning.

Welsh Alliance League Mawddach Challenge Cup round two (2 pm)
Bodedern Ath v Glan Conwy

Another game which could be in doubt in view of the weekend weather forecast.
Again, this is a really attractive game between a Boded side which can beat anyone on their day and a Glan outfit having a brilliant season, currently lying second in Welsh Alliance Division One.
Glan have beaten their Anglesey rivals home and away in the league this season, 2-1 in August at Cae Ffwt and 3-2 three months later at Cae Ty Cristion.

Welsh National League Premier Division (2 pm)
Holywell Town v Llanuwchllyn

Second in the table, just a point behind leaders Cefn Albion with four games in hand and still undefeated after 14 matches, Holywell will start favourites with home advantage.
However, mid-table Llanuwchllyn are one of the Premier’s dark horses. In their last outing, they went to Brymbo as second favourites and won 2-0, so you cannot count out Riki Wyn Rowlands’ side.

North East Wales League NEWFA Horace Wynne Cup round two (1.30 pm)
Sychdyn v Mold Town United

Brace yourselves for a fierce local derby.
In their one meeting this season, a league encounter back in August, Sychdyn edged a 2-1 win at neighbours Mold.
Neither side has pulled up any trees, Sychdyn lying fifth in the eight-team league and Mold one off the bottom.
With a couple of big performances behind them against top of the table opposition, however, the form book leans towards Sychdyn.

Anglesey League (2 pm)
Holyhead Town v Bodorgan

Holyhead Town signed Jordan Rowlands from Caergybi this week

After a much-needed cup win last weekend, Town now need to start picking up league points.
They appear to have a decent chance of beating a Bodorgan side just two places above them in the table.
However, the villagers are capable of upsetting most teams in the division – and they haven’t lost in a while.
These two will do well to produce a repeat of their previous league encounter this term, Holyhead winning 7-6 at Bodorgan in October to record their only league victory of the campaign to date.
