Welsh Alliance League: Glan Conwy joy after late show, big wins for Boded and Berffro

Keating Hoe-Pike’s 93rd minute winner clinched a dramatic 2-1 success for in-form Glan Conwy at Mynydd Llandegai in Division One of the Welsh Alliance.

Alwyn Roberts had nudged the hosts in front early in the second half, but Conor Davies levelled before Hoe-Pike’s late header sealed maximum points.

Blaenau Amateurs fought back late to grab a 4-4 draw at Llanberis.

Gethin Wakeham, Gareth Edwards (2) and Owain Jones supplied the Darans’ goals, Meilir Williams (2), Owain Jones-Owen and David Copsey replying for the Quarrymen.

Dean Redmond and Shaun Jenkins both scored twice to secure Bodedern Athletic a superb 4-1 verdict at Llanrug United, Jamie Underwood for the hosts.

Joel Lloyd reached 50 goals for Llandudno Albion with a double in his team’s 5-3 victory at Prestatyn Sports.

Ricky Jones, Joe Carey and Jamie Moorhouse added the other Albion goals, Mark Jones (2) and Ian Dunn keeping the home team in the contest.

St Asaph City and Llandyrnog United shared a 1-1 split.

Luke Wandless handed Saints a half-time lead, but Ross Gilbert equalised in the second stanza to land Dyrny a point.

Mike Parry, Steve Jenkins and Nathan Moore (2, 1 pen) ensured Aberffraw outscored Amlwch Town 4-1 in Division Two, Luke McGivern netting with a powerful effort for the visitors.

There was a surprise when top team Penmaenmawr Phoenix entertained bottom side Pentraeth. It ended 0-0.

And 0-0 was also the outcome between Gaerwen and Llannefydd.

Jack Williams (2) and Marc Jones guided Llandudno Junction to a 3-1 win over Gwalchmai, Craig Evans responding (full report elsewhere on Grassroots North Wales).

Postponed: Kinmel Bay v Barmouth and Dyffryn, Mochdre Sports v Y Felinheli.

In the Reserves Division, Llangefni Town versus Llanberis finished one-apiece. Dion Owen put Cefni ahead on 22 minutes, but Celt Moss levelled after 43.
