NFA 3 (Rachel Lloyd, Emily Jones, Amy Webster)
Connah’s Quay Nomads 5 (Shannon Hobbs 2, Shona Roberts, Candice Nellist, Rachael Nattrass)
(match abandoned 78 minutes due to injuries – result stands)

The result of Sunday’s North Wales Women’s League Division Two clash at Rhyl will stand despite the game being abandoned 12 minutes from time after two NFA players suffered serious injuries.

Sisters, goalkeeper Yasmin Mills and Jess Mills, both required hospital treatment after the match at the Rhyl Leisure Centre pitch.

Nomads were 5-3 ahead at that stage, Shannon Hobbs scoring twice for the visitors whose other goals came from recent signing from Llandudno, Shona Roberts, Candice Nellist and Rachael Nattrass.

Rachel Lloyd, Emily Jones and Amy Webster responded for NFA in a match where several ex-Rhyl players came up against one another.

League secretary Emma Iball confirmed as per rule that as the game had passed the 75-minute threshold the result stands.

Betty Pickering Cup

Llanberis 1 (Awel Fflur Ellis)
Denbigh Town 3 (Amber Hellon 2, Chelsea Williams)

Amber Hellon (back row – second from right) scored two and Chelsea Williams (front row – furthest left) netted once

Denbigh advanced to the next round of the Betty Pickering Cup after a classy display at Llanberis.

Despite travelling with a depleted squad, the visitors led 2-1 at half time, and added a clinching third after the break.

Amber Hellon delivered a double for Division One side Town, while Chelsea Williams also made the scoresheet. Rosie Hughes was outstanding in an attacking-midfield role.

Division Two Llanberis performed well on the muddy surface, their goal coming in the first half when they were 1-0 down.

Some lovely play down the left led to the ball entering the box, where Awel Fflur Ellis was on hand to make it 1-1 with her fifth goal in two games.

Elin Arwen and Ffion Mair Roberts were also outstanding for the Darans, who can take heart from their display.

Pwllheli 4 (Sioned Jones, Leanne Hughes, Lois Thomas, Erin Parry)
Corwen 2 (Llywela Edwards, Elisa Williams)

Both sides played their part in a six-goal cracker at The Rec, but Pwllheli came out on top.

Sioned Jones, Leanne Hughes, Lois Thomas and Erin Parry all found the mark for the home side. Sioned was named Player of the Match.

Paying the price for a slow start, Corwen trailed 4-0 at one stage, but fought back bravely with a couple of goals, Llywela Edwards and Elisa Williams on target, and they created other chances to score.
