Geraint Jones was a hat-trick hero as Llansannan overcame Bro Cernyw 3-0 in an all-Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League clash in the NWCFA Junior Cup second round.

Jones struck twice in the first half, then made sure of his team’s progression into the last 16 with a 70th minute penalty.

In the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier, Llanfairfechan Town are nicely placed in third following a 6-1 success at Llandudno Athletic.

Sion Devereux, Harry Croston, Ryan Lewis, Ellis Jones and Meurig Evans (2) shared the away goals, Nathan Williams with the sole home reply.

Cerrigydrudion and Abergele shared the spoils 3-3, Rich Lloyd and Tirion Griffiths (2) for the hosts, Jack Lloyd, Sam Ashton and Jack Hoult netting for the visitors, who go level on points with leaders Rhuddlan but remain second on goal difference.

Y Glannau were 4-0 up inside 15 minutes against Rhos United, but had to settle for a 4-2 win. Kyle Hulme, Joey Fontana, Fran Roberts and Owain Jones were the home hitmen, Aaron Hands and Chris King giving the away team some hope.
