Llandudno will have revenge on the agenda when they host Abergavenny in the quarter-finals of the FAW Women’s Welsh Cup in the New Year.

Tudno were beaten 2-1 by the South Wales side at the same stage of last season’s competition at Maesdu Park, so will be determined to go one better when they entertain their fellow Welsh Premier opponents on February 9.

Llandudno made it to the last eight with a 6-1 thrashing of Llanfair United on Sunday, while last season’s runners-up Abergavenny needed extra time before eventually prevailing 8-2 at Cardiff Bluebirds.

Also in tonight’s quarter-final draw, the winner of the Rhyl v Bethel tie were drawn away to mighty Welsh Premier outfit Swansea City, three-time competition victors in the past decade.

Rhyl and Bethel will attempt to play their second round clash for a second time this Sunday.

The winner of Denbigh Town v Connah’s Quay Nomads, also due to try again this coming Sunday, will be home to Port Talbot in the quarters.

Holders Cardiff Met University have been drawn away to Cardiff City Women.
