Netball: Night of thrills in Gwynedd and Anglesey Winter League Division One

Thrilling encounter: Menai Mavericks produced a massive last quarter to beat Primos

What a thriller Menai Mavericks and Primos produced in the latest round of matches in Division One of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Winter Netball League.

Mavericks led 18-16 at half time, but then Primos came up with a prolific third quarter which they won 10-5 to lead 26-23 entering the last.

However, Menai turned the tables in the final session, winning that 10-3 to clinch a cracking match 33-29.

Defences were on top in a brilliant encounter between Arfon Celts and Dyffryn Ladies, which ended 15 goals apiece.

Three down ahead of the final quarter, Dyffryn pulled out all the stops to win the segment 6-3 and secure a share of the spoils.

Arran and Walis were convincing victors in their matches against Dreigiau Brynrefs and Pwllheli respectively.
