Town led 4-2 at half time, but ran riot after the break to storm into the quarter-finals.
Hughes hit six for the Division One visitors, while Emma Roden and Chelsea Williams netted three apiece.
Natalie Williams and Lisa Thomas replied for the well-beaten Division Two hosts.

Pwllheli 9 Northop Hall 1

Lowri Hughes struck five times for a Pwllheli outfit which proved far too strong for their visitors.
Amy Roberts (2), Sioned Jones and Stacey Sansome added further goals for the home side, Abbie Holland with Hall’s response from the penalty spot.

Wrexham 5 Llanberis 1

Wrexham celebrated their first win of the season with a Lauren Reese hat-trick leading the way.
Katie Sharp and Bethany Durrant added a goal apiece for the hosts, while Charley Davies made the scoresheet for Llanberis.
The Darans only had 10 players but battled well throughout, the entire team putting in a tremendous effort.
