Gethin Hughes added a debut goal to make it 3-1 for the Gwynedd League side, but the visitors rallied brilliantly to level the tie through Chris Corrie and Mitch Jones.

However, in the end Bro had just the better staying power to seal it via Jordan Edney and Jac Thomas.

Report: Y Glannau 2 Llandudno Amateurs Reserves 3

Morgan Davies netted Llandudno Amateurs Reserves’ third goal against Y Glannau

A tremendous win for Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One underdogs Amateurs at Premier Division Y Glannau.

After a slow start the Amateurs, who travelled with the bare 11, took the lead on the half-hour.

Great work by Matty Roberts saw him find Gaz Sharp, who released Lee Fallas one-on-one with the keeper.

Fallas was brought down by the chasing defender in the area and up stepped Stan Farrell, who calmly beat the keeper from the spot.

Not long after Sharp flicked on a long throw into Fallas, who poked the ball home for 2-0.

Five minutes before half time Y Glannau got back into it with what appeared an unfortunate own goal by Matty Roberts from a corner, with the hosts recording Tom Jones as the scorer.

After the break, Y Glannau threw everything at Amateurs but the visitors defended in numbers. Some good one-on-one saves from Ben Rogerson and a fantastic goal-line clearance from Paul Vinall kept it at 2-1.

On 85 minutes Amateurs caught Y Glannau on the break. Awesome running and a great ball from Alan Ociepa found Morgan Davies, who beat the last defender and then the goalkeeper to slot home.

The hosts replied with a late Ryan Jones penalty, but an away win for the outsiders was the end result.

Report: Bro Cernyw 4 Waunfawr 2

Bro Cernyw advanced to the next round of the Junior Cup

Carwyn McFadden struck at the double for Bro, who proudly flew the flag for the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division with a hard-fought success over Gwynedd League outfit Waunfawr.

In an end-to-end tussle, Beganifs midfielder Rhys Davies struck first in the 30th minute.

Ten minutes later left-back Trystan Roberts delivered a great cross into the box towards the right post and McFadden volleyed home for 1-1.

Shaun Roberts stooped low from a corner to head into the net, beating Bro keeper Joe Edwards to give the visitors the lead again.

Bro soon equalised when the ball rebounded off the post and McFadden was first on the scene to fire past away keeper Jonathan Gould.

After the break, the Gwynedd League travellers found themselves struggling for possession following the dismissal of both their captain Shaun Roberts and striker Dylan Hughes for using foul and abusive language towards the official.

On the half-hour Bro player-manager Russell Pursell received the ball 30 yards out from a free kick and sent an absolute screamer into the net. A goal worthy of winning any cup clash.

Bro exerted more pressure and the Beganifs’ defence finally succumbed, allowing Osian Roberts to score number four and seal the tie.
