Katie Midwinter has returned to former club Bethel after a successful season with Bethesda Athletic.
Midwinter, 22, spent 10 years with Bethel, where she earned selection for Wales Under-17 development squads, before helping form the first-ever Bethesda ladies team last term.
It was a rewarding venture, with Pesda winning the North Wales League Division Two title and Midwinter scoring 25 goals – one less than she managed for Bethel the season before.
Last season’s triumphs with Bethesda helped secure her the Grassroots North Wales Women’s Player of the Season award.
After a difficult summer 2019, in which they lost the majority of last season’s squad to other clubs, Bethesda played just one match of the current campaign before deciding to resign from the NWWFL and instead join the North Wales Recreational League.
Midwinter now rejoins Bethel, where she first made her name as an attacking wide-player, finishing leading scorer in two of the club’s last three seasons.
She follows recent Bethel signings Angharad Evans and Shannon Jade Jones, who were also part of the Pesda title-winning squad of 2018-19.
Meanwhile, last season’s title-winning goalkeeper at Bethesda has signed for Mountain Rangers.
Manager Irfon Hughes has completed the signing of goalkeeper Sioned Jones.
Sioned, who hails from Llanllyfni, was recruited last week from last season’s Division Two champions. Jones’ previous clubs include Bethel and Caernarfon Town.
