Congratulations to Rhyl All Stars on recording their first-ever win in the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League.

After six straight defeats, the Division One side broke their duck with a superb 5-2 victory at Penrhyn Bay Dragons on Saturday.

Mehmed Barzev was the main hero for the visitors with a hat-trick, Simon Roberts and Ricky Roberts also on target, while Morgan Groom and Paul Jones hit back for the hosts.

At the other end of the table, leaders NFA made it six wins on the bounce with a narrow 4-3 success against Henllan.

Josh Evans, Nathan Griffiths, Paul Jones and Ste Falvey all scored one apiece for the Rhyl hosts, Alex Thomas responding with a hat-trick for the spirited visitors.

Dan Spruce (2) and Jo Owen earned Betws-y-Coed a 3-0 victory at Llanfairfechan Town Reserves.

Machno United v Denbigh Development was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Abergele moved to within two points of Premier Division leaders Rhuddlan Town with an impressive 5-0 victory over Bro Cernyw.

Despite a good start from Bro, Gele hurt them on a counter-attack in the 15th minute, midfielder Sam Aston applying the finish.

Within two minutes Abergele left-back Kieran Holland lofted a wind-assisted deep cross into the far corner of the net.

Both sides had spells of attacking and defending before half time, Joe Edwards pulling off a spectacular save to deny Abergele a third.

It became 3-0 in the 63rd minute, Jack Lloyd with a 30-yard special.

BrĂ´ missed opportunities before Jack Hoult scored with a grass cutter to put the hosts four-up.

Four minutes from time confusion from a corner led to the ball rebounding into the net off the back of Liam Roberts for number five.

The prolific Leon Gierke netted a hat-trick for Llansannan in a 3-2 triumph at Y Glannau, who responded with a Jordan Davies double.

Llandudno Athletic took the honours 6-3 at Llanelwy Athletic.

Matty McElroy, Paul Isaacs, Lee Stokes (2), Dean Roberts and Andy Campbell provided the away goals, Neil Fazackerley, Callum Darroch and Chris McQuillen netting for the home side.

Corey Beeson, Luke Elden and Adam Wright provided the goals which earned Meliden a 3-1 win against visitors Rhos United.
