Cymru North: Magnificent seven from mighty Prestatyn, Gresford enjoy home victory

Jack Kenny (back row – furthest right) hit four for Prestatyn in a demolition of Conwy

Conwy Borough 0
Prestatyn Town 7 (Kenny 4, J Davies 2, Maher)

Ruthless Prestatyn stormed back to the top of the Cymru North table with a stunning victory at Conwy which will make the whole league sit up and take notice.

Town looked every inch title contenders in a dynamic first half performance.

Both sides posed early threats before the Seasiders took a 20th minute lead.

Jordan Davies produced the flick that put Jack Kenny clear to fire home the opener.

In the 29th minute, Jordan Davies’ cross into the box was half-cleared and Ben Maher lashed in from just beyond 18 yards.

Soon after a ball over the top of the defence released Kenny, who rounded keeper Ben Heald to score number three.

Six minutes into the second half, Kenny completed his hat-trick with an easy tap-in from a Jordan Davies assist.

Jordan Davies blasted home a beauty with a shot on the turn before Kenny collected his fourth with ease.

Stead then released Jordan Davies to put away his second in the 82nd minute.

Jordan MacCarter and Alex Buxton went close for the Colliers before the deadlock was broken on 36 minutes.

Joe Culshaw sent over a good corner and the ball landed at the feet of MacCarter to score. It remained 1-0 up to the break.
