Nefyn United maintained their excellent start to the season with a 5-2 victory at champions Menai Bridge Tigers, who finished up with eight men in this Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd League clash.
Second-place Bridge had lost just once in their previous six outings, but finished up well second-best to the Penwaig.
Menai led 1-0 through Dafydd Healy until the 35th minute, but then had two players sent off, which swung the momentum very much in Nefyn’s favour.
Healy struck again in the second half, but the hosts had another man red-carded.
Dylan Sion Jones (2), Guto Sion, Daniel Roberts and player-manager Carl Jones were on target for the away side.
Nefyn are now fourth in the table, nine points behind leaders Trearddur Bay Bulls but with two games in hand.
Only one league game was played on Saturday, two others having taken place on Thursday night with Bro Goronwy winning 2-1 at Llangoed and Bontnewydd romping to a 9-1 success away to Llannerchymedd.
Caergybi v Waunfawr was postponed due to no referee being available.
